Writing
I’m an active member of a local writing community called To Live and Write in Alameda. For the past four years, our group has grown from 3 to nearly 600 people. We gather online and in-person to encourage one another’s craft. Founder and creative coach Bronwyn Emery hosts a monthly storytime for adults (called “Alameda Shorts”) every third Thursday at Books, Inc. in Alameda, January through October.
Here are selected works I’ve read in front of an audience.
- More than Enough – July, 2019
- Remember the Blister – June, 2019
- Change of routine – May, 2019
- New neighbors – March, 2019
- Countdown
- Shape
- Snake
Gardening
I’ve transformed my lawn into pollinator-friendly, native California landscape. I plan to point to before and after photos.
Craft
I work with mosaic, fiber, glass, and acrylic.
Facilitation
I herd cats at work.
